DVR Counselor Referrals
Welcome!
Thank you for considering Pendulum Voc.
Pendulum Voc encourages counselors to view our scheduling calendar for current availability before referring a participant to see the estimated timeframe for scheduling a vocational assessment. Please do not schedule a meeting or have a participant schedule meetings at this point in the referral process. After the referral is submitted and the participant completes their intake form, they will be offered scheduling options.
If the participant wishes to schedule a consultation to learn more about the vocational assessment process, please give us a heads up (if possible) and share the following link so they can schedule an appointment: https://pendulumvoc.com/consultations
Typically, the Tier One: WOWI Vocational Assessment is offered virtually via Google Meet, and the Tier Two: Comprehensive Vocational Evaluation is facilitated in-person at the Pendulum Voc office (3535 W 44th Ave, Denver, Colorado). We are committed to supporting participants in making informed decisions that lead to successful employment outcomes.
We love questions and collaborating with VRCs! If you have any questions or want to discuss the referral, referral questions, or timeline before submission, please call (720) 722-0120 or email us. You may also schedule a complimentary consultation. The more information we have, the better we can serve your participant (and you).
Pendulum Voc's assessment rates exceed the published state rate. Supervisory approval is necessary to justify and update the rate for authorization.
Important Information!

The Tier One World of Work Inventory (WOWI) Vocational Assessment includes a brief vocational interview and the administration of the WOWI assessment. It is recommended as a quick screening tool for individuals with less severe impairment who need support identifying possible career paths. Because the WOWI does not account for limitations or work restrictions when generating job recommendations, participants with concerns or questions about the "Career Matches" may be recommended to complete a Tier Two Comprehensive Vocational Assessment.
The WOWI measures interest, aptitude, and work style preferences. For a brief overview of the WOWI assessment tool, please watch "You Are Unique – Your Career Path Should Be Too!" at https://youtu.be/gRqDmJVQqtY.
The Tier One Vocational Assessment does not provide a written report from the evaluator. However, counselors receive the WOWI-generated results and reports within three business days. These reports include a confidential counselor report, a one-page profile snapshot, a client report with "Career Matches," and access to a career exploration tool for ninety days. An optional report review and consultation with the evaluator, the counselor, and the participant are available upon request.
The fee for this service is $110 per hour. Counselors are asked to submit authorization for six hours to allow flexibility during the assessment process. However, only the actual time spent, typically between two and a half to four hours, will be invoiced. The billing code is: 04000-02 Standardized Vocational Evaluation for nine or fewer hours.
This assessment is generally completed virtually, however, can be completed at our Denver Office upon request.

The Tier Two: Comprehensive Vocational Evaluation is a comprehensive and tailored process that helps individuals discover or affirm their work-related interests and career options. It includes an in-depth vocational interview and standardized assessments.
A thorough written report is typically delivered within three weeks. It encompasses job and other vocationally-related recommendations based on best practices and the information collected. Additionally, the report addresses any questions the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor noted on the referral form. This assessment is appropriate for most referrals that require a more comprehensive approach. This collaborative process helps individuals utilize informed choice, build confidence, and pursue realistic, achievable career goals.
While we offer both virtual (Google Meet) and in-person assessments, attending in person allows participants to practice punctuality and navigation in a real-world environment. This type of meeting also helps the evaluator observe nonverbal cues that may not be visible online. The formal setting minimizes distractions and accommodates physical work samples and assessments, potentially offering a fuller picture of each participant’s strengths and challenges. However, we understand that attending in person may not be feasible in every situation and are happy to offer virtual assessments when necessary.
The fee for this service is $1,100, or $1,270 for an evaluation that includes an in-depth report review and consultation with the Evaluator, the Counselor, and the Participant if needed. The billing code is: 04000-01 Standardized Vocational Evaluation, ten or more hours.
